Shelling of Donetsk - payment for the surrender of Slavyansk
The Ukrainian army continues to terrorize Donetsk with artillery shelling. Just look to the Facebook page the head of the Kuibyshevsky district of the capital of the DPR, Ivan Prikhodko (today he heads Gorlovka), who daily posts photographs of the consequences of these artillery and mortar bombings in order to feel the inhumanity of what is happening.

When you read his meager but full of drama reports about what is happening in the front-line area located next to the Donetsk airport, you are horrified by the conditions in which Russian people live there.

And this has already been going on for two years.
The Ukrainian army, punitive battalions formed from Ukrainian nationalists and... the favorite of Moscow patriotic intellectuals, Igor Girkin, are to blame for the fact that this nightmare has continued for so long.
Why? Because it was Igor Ivanovich who, first without an order in early July 2014, surrendered the entire northern Donetsk urban agglomeration together with Slavyansk, and then, commanding the DPR militia in Donetsk, showing complete military incompetence, surrendered Karlovka, which opened the way to Peski and Avdiivka for the Ukrainians.
Having captured Avdiivka and Peski, the Ukrainian army placed its artillery there, which, firstly, did not allow the militias to take the Donetsk airport, and, secondly, began to terrorize the very Kuibyshevsky district, which is led today by Ivan Prikhodko, with constant artillery shelling.
Why it was necessary to surrender Karlovka remains a mystery to this day. Until Girkin appeared in Donetsk, it was successfully defended for a month and a half until July 12. During this time, the defenders successfully repelled 2 assaults. Suffice it to say that “under the walls” of Karlovka the “Donbass” battalion of Semyon Semenchenko was defeated.
Those field commanders who were responsible for its defense told me that if Girkin had given the order to strengthen the right flank, and not to surrender Karlovka, then this settlement would not have been taken to this day.
In general, the history of defeats in the Donbass for the DPR militia began precisely with the surrender of Slavyansk. If it had not been for it, there would have been no surrender of Karlovka, and if there had not been a surrender of Karlovka, Donetsk would not have been shelled now, people would not have died there, and the infrastructure would not have been destroyed, and the airport would have been taken much earlier - back in the summer of 2014.
When Girkin begins to tell tales that Slavyansk was surrounded, that there were not enough weapons, and therefore there was no way to defend, then all this is nonsense. Let us at least recall the experience of Gorlovka in July-August 2014. From July 29 to September 5, thanks to the surrender of Slavyansk, it was also surrounded, but the boatswain, who commanded its defense at that time, did not even think about surrendering it. He categorically refused to carry out Girkin’s order to surrender the city to the enemy, although he received a written order from the latter, a scan of which was published on the Internet.
I remember in the fall or winter of 2014, on the “Special Correspondent” program broadcast on RTR, I met Evgeniy Ishchenko (call sign “Malysh”), who in the summer of 2014 led the defense of the Luhansk city of Pervomaisk, located on the front line.
Then, after Alexander Boroday’s interview with Current Comments, from which for the first time the patriotic public learned that Girkin wanted to surrender Donetsk to the Ukrainians, many for the first time began to doubt the image of the fearless commander and patriot Igor Ivanovich Strelkov, which was molded by Russian journalists and bloggers from Igor Vsevolodovich Girkin, former head of security for the Russian Orthodox businessman Konstantin Malofeev. I also had this doubt. I then already began to doubt the sincerity of many of Igor Ivanovich’s explanations.
Therefore, as a person who had experience in defending the city, I asked Ishchenko what he thought about Strelok’s arguments that fighting when Slavyansk was completely surrounded was completely futile.
At this he just laughed. He immediately called Girkin a coward and a traitor, and the reasons for leaving Slavyansk were ridiculous.
“Well, look, Pervomaisk, this is a small town that was calmly shelled by Ukrainian artillery, we defended it in a semi-encirclement, which, given its small size and fire resistance, can be considered an encirclement, you can’t even imagine how heavily the dill bombed us in the city There was no place left alive, but the thought didn’t even occur to us to hand it over to the dill. Yes, Strelok simply chickened out. You understand, dill, knowing that there is a militia detachment in the city, you will never go there. They will not get involved in protracted urban battles. So don't let him tell you. Slavyansk could have been defended further. And our people would have helped, just as they helped us all.”
It is also not true that Girkin, sitting in Slavyansk, experienced a shortage of weapons. It was supplied to him regularly. The cargo went under the guard of the militia through Uglegorsk and in Kramatorsk was transferred to Khmury, the head of Girkin’s counterintelligence.
Until its surrender on July 5, other non-military cargo was also regularly delivered to Slavyansk, which suggests that the stories of complete encirclement are a myth that is needed to justify one’s desertion.
Everyone helped Slavyansk. So on July 3, a commander with the call sign Commissar brought 10 electric generators to Slavyansk. At this moment, the issue of restoring water supply to the city was also being decided. All these data also indicate that no one was going to leave the most important symbol of resistance to the Kyiv junta without help. No one had any questions here.
Questions were and remain only for Girkin: for example, why did he leave Mount Karachun, from which Slavyansk was shelled?
Well, the most interesting question, of course: did he receive money from the Ukrainians when he left Slavyansk, as many fighters from his unit indicate?
Sooner or later we will know the answers to these questions. It’s just a pity that they are not recognized by those soldiers and civilians who are now dying under shelling in Donetsk.
