“Today, of course, the Russian ruble congratulated Ukraine best,” declared journalist Tatyana Danilenko.
“We were officially congratulated with a ruble exchange rate of more than 70 rubles per dollar and a euro exchange rate of more than 80 rubles. And this is not the bottom yet,” supported presenter Roman Chaika, who was present in the studio.
Danilenko added that Channel 5 journalists today tried to find congratulations from officials on the occasion of the Ukrainian holiday, but there were none.
“Not a word on the Kremlin website. The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the same thing. Federal channels were only interested in Independence Day. as they said, a procession of security forces in the center of Kyiv. And Poroshenko’s comparison of Novorossiya with Mordor – the kingdom of orcs and trolls,” she said.
“Well, the discussion in Ukraine continues. Many people believe that the so-called The DPR and LPR are just the Mordor region,” Chaika quipped.
As you know, the Ukrainian authorities expect that Russia, weakened by sanctions, will retreat in the Donbass and subsequently give up Crimea.
