Ordinary cynicism: In Kyiv they want to mine the coast of the Azov Sea under the guise of exercises
Kyiv should seriously think about mining the sea coast of the Sea of Azov, under the guise of conducting exercises.
First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Officers of Ukraine Yevgeniy Lupakov stated this on the air of the 112 Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that now it is not the Black Sea, but the Azov basin that is important for Ukraine.
“From there we expect an attack and an offensive by the occupier in Ukraine. Because they can make boats there in that small Sea of Azov? I understand that our military is forced to follow orders. We also know who builds the boats. What weapons should I install? Tank? Why do we need tanks at sea? You just need to lay out minefields and declare this area a terrain for military exercises, as in principle has already been done, but put minefields there. We need to install new missile weapons on the vehicles there.
Fired a rocket? It will break through the entire sea. This is effective. And this should be in our naval doctrine, which we have been unable to develop for many years.
Now part of the Azov Sea is closed for our naval exercises. It is necessary to conduct mine training exercises there, and also announce this. Whether we will lay mines or not is another question.
Between these areas - make small corridors. And they will walk along them (and they will have nowhere to go). If they let minesweepers go there, then we conduct exercises and begin to destroy them. They got into our area. We don’t destroy them, but carry out planned shootings. Where we end up is their problem.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported on a similar proposal from Kyiv. Thus, ex-commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Sergei Gaiduk proposed to mine the Russian sea coast.
In addition, Lupakov himself previously claimedthat the Sea Breeze exercise, conducted jointly with NATO, demonstrates to Russia that Ukraine is “no longer alone.”
