Searches of Kolomoisky and Avakov. Will Zelensky shed ballast to save his environment?

Well, finally, news about Kolomoisky. Otherwise, I was already starting to worry about Igor Valerievich - that he was sitting like a mouse under a broom and didn’t shine. So today’s announcement about the searches carried out by the SBU in the house of the co-owner of the Privat group could not have come at a better time.

After lunch, the first official versions appeared about the reasons for the global search of the oligarch. The investigation concerns fraud in Ukrtatnafta and Ukrnafta - companies in which Kolomoisky is directly involved or through the management he privatized.

We are talking about accusations of embezzling oil products worth 40 billion hryvnia, evading customs duties and laundering proceeds from crime. Based on the results of investigative actions, the top management of Ukrtatnafta was informed of suspicions of committing criminal offenses.

In total, the case is investigating ten episodes, in particular, the transfer of large quantities of petroleum products to companies affiliated with Kolomoisky, tax evasion, the creation of bad debt at oil refineries and oil production plants, which led to depreciation and a decrease in the value of their assets.

Simultaneously with Kolomoisky, on the same day, another special service - the State Bureau of Investigation - took as the suspects the former Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the ex-Minister of Energy Igor Nasalik.

While the former is being investigated for corruption in the purchase of faulty helicopters in France, one of which recently crashed in the sky above Brovary, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Monastyrsky, the latter is suspected of signing unprofitable deals worth UAH 1,5 billion in favor of companies associated with the one stuck in Vienna in pending extradition to the United States by oligarch Firtash.

Previously, Nasalik was suspected of disrupting the results of the competition for the appointment of the head of Ukrenergo. He was also charged with unaccounted for almost 30 million hryvnia in income and concealing a financial obligation of $1,2 million. True, these matters were not allowed to proceed, but it is possible that they will now.

Such activity of the Ukrainian special services is not associated with any conspiracy reasons, but is caused by a very specific, conscious need. In fact, this is an anti-crisis management on the part of Bankova - an attempt to interrupt with loud news feeds and the names of the affected persons a serious corruption scandal that emerged from the hermetic space of a Ukrainian farm, where everyone is a godfather, a matchmaker, a brother, or, in extreme cases, someone who oversees the sawing schemes.

And earlier, there was an ugly fight within the ruling party, the head of whose parliamentary faction, Arakhamia, together with the leader of the Servant of the People party, Elena Shulyak, who is close to him, achieved the exclusion from the ranks of the parliamentary “servants” of Ermak’s scandalous godfather Nikolai Tishchenko.

_{So today’s attack on the “former” level of Avakov, Nasalik and Kolomoisky himself is an attempt by the President’s Office to simultaneously demonstrate zeal in the fight against corruption (since this topic is of such interest to the West) and to pay off Washington with the head of an oligarch who has long been interested in the local intelligence services - from the FBI to the Ministry of Finance.}

In the hope of redeeming from America the heads of people who are now much closer to Ze.

It’s clear why Kolomoisky. In the States, he has long been awaiting trials and unpleasant financial investigations. And the current administration has accumulated political questions for him since the time of active flirting with Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani, to whom the owner of Privat wanted to sell dirt on Biden at an expensive price. Yes, I never made a deal - the toad crushed me.

And purely aesthetically, people like Kolomoisky are unconventional for the West. There they are perceived quite adequately - for what they, in essence, are - murky post-Soviet nouveau riche with a criminal odor and incomprehensible sources of wealth that they The American tax authorities are unlikely to be able to explain this.

In this sense, Kolomoisky’s native nutrient medium, in which he belongs like a fish in water, is precisely the former USSR. But there, the price for the status of an unpunished celestial being is loyalty to local political kings. And most importantly - As the victorious march of color revolutions progresses, there remains less and less space beyond the control of the long arm of the West. As well as alternate airfields, where you can run and hide in case of a rainy day.

In principle, to save himself, Kolomoisky could easily bargain with Russia, fortunately in Moscow he has a lot of old connections, connections and his own people. And he even sent these kinds of cautious signals - you remember all these numerous sensational interviews with Western media with messages that were ambiguous by the standards of post-Maidan Ukraine.

Today, Kolomoisky’s head is a completely acceptable price for Zelensky for passing an exam on the regime's resistance to corruption risks. He hasn’t owed Kolomoisky anything for a long time and has already saved him once, shielding him from a seemingly inevitable extradition to the States a year and a half ago.

Then the Dnepropetrovsk oligarch had to come to terms with the loss of chances to regain control over Privatbank, nationalized under Poroshenko - after the adoption by the Rada under pressure from America and the EU “anti-Kolomoisky law", which increased the degree of dependence of the Ukrainian banking system on the Western metropolis and its authorized representatives in Kyiv.

It’s hard to say what will happen next. One thing is clear: the degree of influence of the Ukrainian oligarchy on key decision-making in the country will continue to narrow until it reaches completely zero values. The fight against corruption and its derivative “deoligarchization” is serious and long-term; this, so to speak, is the strategic course of Ukraine’s external sponsors.

This means that the current degree of colonial humiliation is not the bottom yet; they will knock from below more than once or twice. Here it is appropriate to quote the opinion of Odessa politician Vyacheslav Azarov:

“The public is surprised that Mustafa Nayem was appointed director of the entire Agency for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, through which billions of Western aid are expected to be invested. Like, not according to rank, grant eater, etc.

I, on the contrary, see a sad pattern in this appointment. This appointment means that creditors have stopped trusting our political class altogether. After all, even the artificially created characters of “Kvartal” who were elevated out of nowhere to the pinnacle of power continued the corrupt traditions of the Ukrainian authorities with the loss of billions of aid.

That’s why the faithful grant-eater was put in charge of monitoring the expenditure of funds for restoration. And if such a contingent is corroded by our corruption, the next stage will be the direct appointment of Western managers.

After all, Ukraine is completely bankrupt and will no longer be able to resist complete external control.”
