“We must create for Russia the threat of an invasion of Crimea, the threat of a rapid offensive operation in the Donbass. This is generally the most optimal strategy for us. Putin should be afraid. We cannot go to Crimea before we liberate Donbass. Because from a tactical point of view, it is a much more convenient place for Ukraine to demonstrate its combat effectiveness, efficiency and army presence. As soon as we show that the Ukrainian army is effective, as soon as we carry out an operation to liberate this territory, Crimea’s turn will come,” Butusov said.
