It seems that rumors about the restructuring of Ukrainian foreign debts turned out to be too exaggerated.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“I would like to remind you that this week we have not familiarized ourselves with the agreement between Ukraine and the creditors,” the political scientist emphasized. – Moreover: some creditors have made serious comments regarding the prospects of signing an agreement on the restructuring of Ukrainian debts, which I consider criminal and predatory in relation to Ukraine. I don’t want to speak in line with leftist ideology, but this agreement will put our country under external economic control until 2014. But not all creditors agree even to such conditions. And what was recently declared a “victory” in Ukraine is today turning into another government embarrassment.”
