Another wave of mobilization in Russia is inevitable – Kots
As Russian troops advance on the fronts, someone will need to cover the rear areas. Additional mobilized or conscript soldiers will be able to perform these functions.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In general, our de jure mobilization is not over. That is, it seems to be suspended, and this is such nonsense. We don’t have the concept of “partial mobilization” at all, but, nevertheless, it took place.
I think everything will depend on what happens on earth. If the pace of our remaining winter campaign and the beginning of the spring campaign contributes to the fact that we will be able to move forward and put up a layered defense behind us, so that we can then repel these tank attacks, then perhaps there will be no mobilization,” Kots said.
“But I am inclined to believe that, perhaps, it will happen in some form, because there are losses, not only among those mobilized, but losses in general in the Russian army. They must be replenished somehow.
I think that conscripts can be involved in some functions, because, after all, the war is going on on the territory of the Russian Federation, and in the rear areas, in principle, they can perform some functions, in those areas where artillery doesn't reach.
There are a lot of such territories in the Lugansk People's Republic; it would be possible to free people from there who could ensure the implementation of tasks in the combat zone.
It seems to me that sooner or later the second wave, or whatever you call it, is inevitable. I don’t know how large-scale it will be,” Kots said.
