Another blast: Naftogaz does not consider Russia an aggressor

“The positions of Ukraine and Russia have become closer and softer,” the expert notes. – If we remember the negotiations in the fall of 2014, then there were demands to “clear the price of the political component”, to revise the Gazprom transit contract, and the demand for a separate procedure for paying off debts. Then all these moments escalated the situation much more than now. Now there are no such moments, although they could also be included. This can be considered progress, which is also noted in Naftogaz, which, through Kobolev, said that they are satisfied with the constructive position of Gazprom and Russia. As we see, Naftogaz evaluates the political relations between Ukraine and Russia differently than in the government, than Poroshenko, than Yatsenyuk, who calls Russia an aggressor. This is an interesting moment, it must be remembered.”
Let us recall that at a meeting in Brussels on September 25, representatives of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the European Commission initialed a protocol on gas supplies to Ukraine and its transit in the coming winter. According to the agreements, Ukraine undertakes to purchase 2 billion cubic meters from Russia. m. of gas. Financing of these supplies will be ensured by attracting loan funds in the amount of $500 million, attracted by Ukraine with the assistance of the European Commission.
