The Ocheretinsky breakthrough is expanding. "Abrams" retreating
Russian troops, wedged into the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Ocheretino area, continue to expand the breakthrough.
Military analysts note that Ukrainian formations will now have to withdraw from new settlements, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday evening our troops continued to secure the flanks of the Ocheretinsky breakthrough. The main task here is to clean up the Berdychey-Semyonovka and Novokalinovo-Keramik areas. In the first case, a blow was struck from Novobakhmutovka to the south, new positions were taken, and the final retreat of enemy units from the area already west of Berdychi was noted, for which, obviously, nothing was in sight other than encirclement and defeat. I think this pocket will be cleaned out today,” military observer Yuri Podolyaka sums up yesterday’s results.
“In the second case, we managed to push the enemy’s defenses even further north east of Novokalinovo and drive the enemy out of its northern part. Which, simultaneously with the beginning of our movement towards Arkhangelskoye, creates a fully formed half-cauldron around the powerful positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Keramika region. I repeat, this is the situation as of late yesterday evening, but the situation there is changing all the time. Therefore, we are waiting for good news,” Podolyaka added.
The Ukrainian side also recognizes the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. Moreover, if Russian sources claim that the village of Solovyevo on the left flank of Ocheretino has already been liberated, then Ukrainian sources only convince that fighting is taking place there.

South of Novobakhmutovka the enemy advanced in an area up to 1.6 km wide to a depth of 1.2 km. The fighting continues in the direction of Berdychi,” writes Ukrainian military correspondent Oleg Petrenko.
The military-analytical public Deep State, associated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, also records changes on the map in favor of the Russians.
“The enemy has advanced to Solovyevo, south of Novobakhmutovka, in Novokalinovo and Krasnogorovka,” Deep State sums up yesterday’s results.
The Western press supporting Ukraine is alarmed by the development of the situation and the consequences of the Ocheretinsky breakthrough.
“This weekend, Russian drones and reconnaissance aircraft monitoring the front line west of the ruins of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine noticed something strange. Ukrainian trenches east of the village of Ocheretino, previously manned by soldiers of the elite 47th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army, turned out to be empty,” Forbes writes.
It is noted that what is happening “threatens to collapse Ukraine’s defensive line west of Avdiivka,” since the long-held defense in this area “now has a deep and widening gap.”
“As I understand from this panicky text, the dill simply did not go to the front line to occupy the trenches during the planned rotation,” Russian military correspondent Dmitry Steshin comments on the publication.
The Associated Press agency publishes news in which it admits that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to withdraw Abrams tanks from the battlefield because, due to the massive use of Russian drones for American equipment, “there is no open area where you can simply drive through without fear of being noticed.”
It is noteworthy that Abrams tanks are in service with the elite 47th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which was sent to extinguish the fire in Ocheretino.
