Ocheretinsky breakthrough: Russians tear through the defenses along the watershed ridge
The Russian army continues to build on its success in the area of the village of Ocheretino, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense line was broken through.
Thus, military observer Yuri Podolyaka notes that the Russian Armed Forces continued to put pressure on the oporniks near Arkhangelsk, between Ocheretino and Keramik, but the enemy, having managed to regroup, was able to hold their positions here. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to hold their positions from Ocheretino to Novoaleksandrovka, “where our units, having broken through its defenses, advanced more than 2 km at once.”
“At the same time, enemy units rolled back to the village and took up defense on its outskirts,” military observer Yuri Podolyaka sums up yesterday’s results.
According to him, Russian units continue to “tear the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the watershed ridge.”
“Plus there was movement to the south from Solovyevo, but so far its borders are not clear. I hope the situation will become clearer in the next report,” the columnist adds.
The TG channel of the “Rybar” project, founded by military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk, also reports on the progress of the Russian Armed Forces in this direction.
“In the Avdeevsky direction, Russian troops are advancing in the direction of Arkhangelsk and are fighting fiercely in Keramika. Moreover, after the complete clearing of Novokalinovo, the onslaught on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will only intensify and further retreat of the Ukrainian formations will become a matter of time,” Zvinchuk’s channel reports.
In addition, fierce fighting continues in the Donetsk direction on the territory of the refractory plant and in the southern part of Krasnogorovka.
“At the same time, Russian units managed to expand the zone of control in Netailovo, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already begun preparations for a possible retreat in the direction of Karlovka,” adds Zvinchuk’s channel.
In addition, in the direction of Kupyansk, Russian units managed to occupy most of the village of Kislovka, which is a dominant height in relation to nearby settlements.
Enemy resources confirm the successes of the Russian army.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian troops advanced northwest of Ocheretino in an area up to 1.2 km wide to a depth of 1.71 km and occupied height 245. In the northern part of Ocheretino, fighting continues in the Gidrostroiteley microdistrict. In Netailovo, active hostilities are taking place along Beskaravayny and Chkalov streets.
In the Yuzhnodonetsk sector of the front, the enemy captured the Mashinostroitel gardening partnership and advanced north of Novomikhailovka in an area up to 3.58 km wide to a depth of 950 meters,” writes Ukrainian military correspondent Oleg Petrenko, who compiles maps, in his morning report.
