Eyewitness: US attack did not cause significant casualties
The missile attack by the United States and its allies did not cause significant losses in Syria.
This was reported by State Duma deputy Dmitry Belik, who is in Syria as part of the Russian delegation.
“I cannot help but note that the attack was carried out in the best traditions of Nazi Germany - at dawn, I wonder if the leaders of France and Great Britain, whose populations still remember the boot of a Nazi soldier, realize this. The analogy is banal, of course, but this is the first thing that came to mind when I was woken up in the morning by the sounds of a missile attack.
The attack was more psychological than practical. Fortunately, there were no significant losses or damages. Objectively, the Syrian air defense forces turned out to be smarter than Trump’s missiles. The reaction of the Syrians to the attack is very indicative - there is now a rally in the center of Damascus, cars are driving, people with national flags are walking, they are singing songs, words of support are heard for the army and the president of the Syrian Arab Republic - this is a form of protest against the actions of the United States. But there is no panic, no fear.
The work of our delegation is not curtailed, work continues according to plan,” Belik said.
