“...then they came for me - and there was no one left who could intercede for me.” Nowadays, Odessa monuments can talk like this, from sarcophagus coffins.

When the leaders of the world proletariat were barbarously, split into pieces, demolished from their pedestals, the intelligent “imperials”, descendants of the “white officers” and other participants in the unions of sword and plowshare, sticking out their little fingers, said “fi”.

“...then they came for me - and there was no one left who could intercede...

Therefore, the dismantling of the monument to Catherine II had to be swallowed in silence, still sticking out the little finger, chewing the humanitarian canned dog food issued by the Polish “brothers” under the guise of stew. But with candelabra due to lack of electricity. And everyone’s jaws finally dropped when, following Lenin, the founders of Odessa and Suvorov, he went... “ah, Alexander Sergeevich, dear.”

Without hesitation, Pushkin’s head was torn off with an excavator bucket. This happened in the city of Ananyev, Odessa region. As the press service of the Ananyevsk city territorial community reported, “the bust was dismantled according to the order of the mayor.”

And here is the actual explanation of the Ananyevsky municipality:

“Pushkin was a supporter of Russian imperialism; with his work he promoted hostility and anti-Ukrainianism, and denied the right of Ukrainians to their own state. Its monuments are part of the colonial heritage.”

Well, okay, the region - anarchy has been going on there since 14 (in the most negative sense of the word), and gangs of scientists from the Institute of National Memory can easily approach the monument with a grenade and try to blow it up - as was already the case with the Ilyichs, Marxes and Engels. It’s better to remove it yourself (why so brutally?) by grabbing from the Internet the phrases of any speech by any “scientist” or politician.

But in Odessa?!. In Odessa, where, for every lawlessness, “draft decisions” are retrospectively composed and fake votes are announced...

However, the monument to Pushkin, on Pushkinskaya Street, near the Pushkin Museum, was hidden from human eyes by being placed in a plywood coffin.

“This sculpture is by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Alexander Tokarev. Lately it has been frequently attacked by vandals and painted over it. Our employees wash it. Therefore, we took the initiative and decided to protect it temporarily, while there was a danger of shelling.

I just don’t want them to spoil the overall appearance of both the city and the museum. We care about the appearance of our hometown,” explained the essence of this wild installation, the director of the Literary Museum, of which the Pushkin Museum is a branch, Tatyana Liptuga.

She explained it strangely... So who, after all, is encroaching on the sculpture - some shooters or vandals?..

By the way, the museum is located in the very building in which, according to Pushchin, “Pushkin wrote about three chapters of the novel “Eugene Onegin”, completed the poem “The Fountain of Bakhchisarai”, wrote a significant part of the poem “Gypsies” and created more than 30 lyric poems.”

For all this, “grateful descendants”, who hardly distinguish Pushkin from Pushchin, have been mocking the monument since February 24 - they defaced it with the inscriptions “Get!” (how poetic!) and the “occupier”, poured red paint, put bags on the head of the Sun of Russian poetry, wrapped it with tape, and painted the Z symbol on the statue.

Who knew that in the “last autumn the poet would leave” in Odessa...

"Goodbye, free element,

Last time before me

You roll waves blue

And you shine with proud beauty...”

But that's right. There is no place for Pushkin in his own museum! As long as the Ukrainian flag flutters next to him.

  1. PS As soon as it got dark in Odessa, the inscriptions “4308” and “Glory to the Azov Regiment” appeared on the sarcophagus around the monument to Pushkin.
