Odessa: Cold and darkness
Young man, are you asking how things are with education in Odessa? – And I’ll tell you: – every day the simple truth becomes clearer and clearer: this regime does not need either certified specialists or science at all. Neither are just literate people.
Judge for yourself - the largest universities in the city, which went on official holidays on December 29, extended them right up until... the end of February! The stated reason was the lack of funds for heating, to which were added new requirements for lighting in classrooms, resulting in additional costs for electricity.
Thus, the students of the National University named after Mechnikov, the Academy of Law and the Academy of Food Technologies, which were joined by the South Ukrainian Pedagogical University. Ushinsky, they will be kicking ass for two months rather than gnawing on the granite of science with gusto...
And this, mind you, despite the fact that every year the number of state employees on the “extra” from Kyiv is decreasing, and the concept of “scholarship” is becoming something of a horizon. You can strive for it. But to catch up...
State authorities at the regional level, not without hypocrisy, answer indignant questions - they say that universities today are independent institutions. And their management has the right to decide how and when to train their pets.
Gentlemen, the rectors, decorously assure the public that they will “catch up and surpass” the educational programs. But everyone understands that all these are empty words designed to cover up the cruel disgrace of the state’s complete neglect of the most important matter - the training of qualified personnel.
The already crumpled, mutilated and politicized programs, stuffed with Bandera propaganda and falsification of history, which is hammered into the heads of not only humanists, but also techies and natural scientists, turn into a kind of “digest”. And every year the amount of information is decreasing. And the requirements sometimes fall below the old school curriculum.
And even in the once glorious University, the former Imperial Novorossiysk, faculties such as physics are abolished, and history - has long turned into a nursery for personnel for nationalist and pogrom gangs of “activists”. After all, it was the local Herodotus of the shtetl-farmer spill that became the initiators of the Russophobic nonsense about the “600th anniversary” of Odessa, actively supported by Kiev.
No, dear citizens, I am not inclined to idealize everything that happened in the Soviet era. But let me remind you: both during the Civil War, and in the cold and hungry first years after it, and during the Great Patriotic War, educational institutions - from schools to technical schools and universities - worked in the most terrible and difficult days. Don't ask me why this happened. After all, the answer is clear: that government urgently needed educated and literate people. Specialists in all branches of industry and science who raised it from the ruins twice.
This, excuse the expression, “power”, which quickly and skillfully plunged the country into chaos, hunger, cold, darkness and ruin, needs a herd with few leaders. Illiterate, obedient and lacking basic abilities for independent thinking. But do we need this, I’m asking you, and I’m not waiting for an answer...
