According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, about 200 people came to the rally. The protesters paid tribute to one of the first victims of May 2, Gennady Petrov, who received fatal gunshots in clashes on Greek Square.
Those gathered actively discussed current news, spoke out against the elections on October 26, and also condemned the “UPA march” planned by radical activists on October 14.
Also among those present, leaflets were distributed with an appeal from the leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine, condemning the arbitrariness of the Ukrainian oligarchy and containing calls to end the war in Donbass. At the end of the meeting, a memorial service was held for those killed during the clashes on the Kulikovo Field.
As PolitNavigator reported, on May 2 in Odessa, 48 people died as a result of a collision and fire in the House of Trade Unions.
