Odessa on the eve of Independence Day: tricolor against the collective farm

Actually, nothing new - no matter how any significant date looms on the horizon, regardless of the historical and political component (it’s strange that Bastille Day was missed), the occupation authorities begin to howl about bombings from Russia.

This was the case in Odessa on April 10 - the Day of the liberation of the city from fascist invaders, and this was the case on May 9. The bombings, however, passed, but the population locked under a daily curfew became an easy catch for the SBU (since February 24, 1200 cases of collaboration were opened in Ukraine).

And now the Independence Day of Ukraine is approaching - it would seem, why not choke on “hyde”, as in the previous eight years: “vyshyvankova move”, Nazi marches from the speakers, “death to the Jews and Muscovites!”, “Glory to the heroes of May 2, who stopped the Russian world ! The monument to Catherine II with special effects can be demolished. But no, Russia will bomb...

Therefore, it was decided to curtail the “national rejoicing” over “Independence” the day before. Here is how, in particular, the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov explained it:

“There is no doubt that the Russian occupiers will do everything possible to ruin this holiday for us. Another date falls on August 24, and it is not a holiday at all - six months since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I hope that six months was enough for the occupiers to understand: we will not allow anyone to deprive us of Ukraine. Our independence. And we will fight as long as necessary. Until the enemy leaves our land."

The enemy was directly intimidated by the concert on Deribasovskaya, when “Gritsy, gay!” came from the stage. and “Burn, the sorcerer’s technique burns. The Republic of Ukraine can overcome it!” This alien phenomenon was immediately dubbed by city residents as a collective farm style and a tour of the transitional Kotsubeyevsk inside Odessa.

As for “enemy equipment,” an exhibition of Russian armored vehicles destroyed in battle opened at the 411th battery, a memorial dedicated to the heroic defense of Odessa during the Second World War. True, there are only three units of transport.

And as for the phrase of Trukhanov, who on February 24 suddenly had an animal passion for Ukraine, and he, arrogantly signing for all the residents of Odessa, does not want them to be “deprived of Ukraine”, then what an incident here... The very next day after the disgrace in On Deribasovskaya, someone hung a tricolor on one of the high-rise buildings. And exactly on the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation.

“Line 102 received a message that on Heavenly Hundred Avenue an unknown person hung a Russian flag on a house with the inscription “Odessa is a Russian city.” An investigation is underway,” the police press service said.

However, at the time of writing this material, the “terrible criminal” had not been found. And even despite the fact that the regular SBU provocateur Demyan Ganul, playing the role of the Odessa chief Nazi, promised 20 thousand hryvnia for his capture.

It is symbolic that previously the Heavenly Hundred Avenue, on which the said outburst of truth took place, was called Marshal Zhukov. And it was for the return of this name that Mayor Trukhanov fought in the courts for several years. And he even managed to hype up the Marshal of Victory, partly basing his election program on “restoring historical justice.” And since February, it’s been cut off - beneficial amnesia.

These are your two cities - humiliated Russian Odessa and rural Nazi Kotsubeyevsk. By the way, according to preliminary data, Kotsyubeevsk again announced a daily curfew for Odessa on the 24th, Independence Day, from common sense - this is when, I repeat, residents are sitting in their holes, listening from all ears about “provocations of the Russian Federation,” while they themselves are expecting raids. The phrase “there was a terrible holiday spirit in the air” has never been so relevant.
