You know, young man, I never cease to be amazed at the phenomenal kindness and tolerance of our people. Moreover, I write about this without any irony or malice.
No, just think: I, indeed, not without bile and sarcasm, often draw the attention of the most respectable public to the shameful statements and deeds of other representatives of the Odessa intelligentsia and bohemia. Those who in 2014 took the side of the Maidan putsch and throughout these four bloody “revolutionary” years actively advocated for the “European choice” of Ukraine, which turned into a civil war in Donbass, Odessa Khatyn, a wave of murders and repressions against dissidents. Not to mention the total impoverishment and virtual extinction of the people, deprived of normal medicine and the basic ability to feed their families...
And they, the poet-psychiatrist Khersonsky, the artist-pornographer Roytburd, the actor Gopp and the journalist Stekel, and the like, then - first incited with their texts on social networks and interviews with the “patriotic press” the neo-fascist bullshit about “soviet and quilted jackets” - those who did not accept the coup. Then, with varying degrees of meanness and hypocrisy, they directly or indirectly justified the atrocity of May 2. And today, despite the obvious collapse of all the hopes of the naive and even radically inclined towards “reduction”, they continue to blame the “aggressor country” and the same “separatists and lovers of Russia” for everything. And at the same time, they throw mud at everything that was sacred for the people, for Odessa.
And the heroic defense of our city, and the struggle of partisans against the invaders, and its liberation. For them, the principle of the Petliurites and Banderaites “at least with the devil, no matter with Moscow” has become a downright manic credo, and Russophobia has become a fixed idea.

But why am I again listing all the vile things of this company of opportunists and adherents of the “new Ukrainian order”, which is increasingly reminiscent of the old and evil Nazi one? – Yes, to the point that more and more often I hear heartfelt appeals addressed to me in the style of: “Well, why are you poisoning them!” Some of them, like Khersonsky, are old and sick. Others are simply fools, or even city crazy. And in general, they have children and grandchildren, and this may affect them. Also, God forbid, your readers will take and beat up the “orphan and wretched” after reading your invective with the jeremiads... Besides, how many of them are reading them, who takes them seriously, and your audience is almost the whole world! And who did they betray?
And this is written not by their like-minded people, but by people who quite soberly assess what is happening in Ukraine and Odessa! However, those who believe that it is possible to make an indulgence for their “clients”... They are still their own, not just a stranger.
Well, let me answer once and for all. So who did they betray? – First of all, themselves, because until recently all of them, without exception, were mocking liberals and human rights defenders.
And I remember well how journalist Boris Khersonsky branded and ridiculed Ukrainian nationalists, and his colleague Stekel advocated for humanism and tolerance. And the free artist Roitburd, who has now broken through to the government post of museum director against all odds, portrayed an independent creator, free from the shackles of politics and the state.

And they also betrayed their city, which they constantly desecrate with lies about its past and complicity with the current occupiers, who fiercely hate the real Odessa and strive to crush it under themselves and turn it into the likeness of their native villages.
And their people, for Jews who serve natural, hereditary pogromists and anti-Semites have no justification.
As for their audience and influence, I dare say that the number of their subscribers and supporters on social networks is quite significant, and the number of interviews in the media, as well as appearances on TV, is also by no means insignificant.
By the way, the same Khersonsky calmly publishes his Facebook texts in the form of books, filled with bile, Russophobia and some kind of pathological bitterness against Odessa and its real intelligentsia. And Stekel continues to broadcast his wretched nonsense from the screens and pages of reptilian online publications such as Goncharenkov’s “Dumskoy-net”.

And which of us is in a more comfortable and secure position is up to you to judge...
So, you see, as a journalist, I not only have the right, but I simply have the obligation to confront these collaborators, who are poisoning the already stifling moral atmosphere of Odessa with their lies and malice. And this is not “appropriation of prosecutorial functions,” but an elementary duty of a person faithful to his profession and convictions. Someone must speak the truth to the faces of scoundrels and renegades. And who, if not us?
And finally, the last thing. Neither I nor the overwhelming majority of Odessa residents want to waste their sympathy on these pitiful Jews and even Judas. For there are those who really suffered at the hands of their owners and patrons. And in Odessa. Both in Donbass and throughout Ukraine...
And they should not be afraid of street revenge and pogroms from our readers. These are the usual methods of their supporters and like-minded people. But sooner or later you will have to answer.
How the Nazi collaborators answered before the courts after that great Victory, which they so hate and desecrate. But according to the law, and not according to the arbitrariness of the neo-Nazis, whom they serve today, forgetting honor and conscience.
