Odessa: They cannot stop the battle of monuments. They won't stop the war either.
The unauthorized (albeit under the cover of security forces) dismantling of the bas-relief of Georgy Zhukov on the building of the former Odessa Military District led to a “battle of memorials.”
Afterwards, the nationalists smeared red paint on another memorial plaque to the great commander - this time on the building on Novoselsky Street, from where Zhukov led the district in the post-war years.
And the next night, a sign in honor of the foreman of the Right Sector, Igor Ivanov, who died on May 2, 2014, was found smashed to pieces.
Now attention! Do you remember that I recently wrote about the difference between normal Odessa residents and those who have come in large numbers and are fascists? The fact that anyone can be maimed, killed or put in prison with impunity, just by calling him a separatist? And also about the fact that vandals who destroy monuments are protected by the police?
So, in the first case, there was no reaction from the authorities - the nationalists, who had long ago lost fear, posted photos of the abomination they had created on social networks and boasted about what they had done. No one even thought of bringing the bastards to administrative responsibility - the board was washed by residents of Odessa living next door to the memorial sign.
But in the second case (when the right-wing board broke), an investigative team immediately arrived on the scene, “to catch the professor with five motorcycles with machine guns” - and that’s all. The police immediately reported that a criminal case had been initiated under the article “Hooliganism.” A universal howl arose. The nationalists announced a collection of funds “for the head” of the person who broke the board (maybe it fell on its own?), offering ten thousand hryvnia for it.
And later, the paid murderer Sergei Sternenko joined the call, offering another two thousand hryvnia, and the same murderer Sergei Khodiak, who promised to allocate another plus five thousand for the “capture of the professor.”
And none of the law enforcement officers asked what they were going to do with this incognito citizen - take him to jail while still alive or in the state of a corpse?..
Why, exactly? They can do anything. Odessa residents, in turn, filed a class action lawsuit demanding to deal with the illegal dismantling of the bas-relief of Marshal of Victory. And on the same day, the nationalists - once again! — they destroyed the memorial on Kulikovo Field in memory of those killed in the House of Trade Unions of Odessa.
Without hiding, in broad daylight, in front of passers-by, wreaths, portraits, lamps, flowers were collected in a heap and set on fire.
True, Odessa residents soon restored the memorial - flowers are brought here all year round and around the clock. But after all this a question arises. Why not stop this memorable legal chaos once and for all? Why do ordinary people who have nothing to do with the authorities file lawsuits and draw attention to what is happening?
But not a single official has ever taken the initiative to punish the vandals. After all, it is not ordinary people who should obtain documents about the illegality of what is happening, but the leaders of the city, region, security forces, the head of the police...
Yes, because that's how it was intended. They are not going to stop the actions of real criminals.
Although it’s simple here - not to drive women and children with flowers on May 9, but to attract at least one fascist nit - hands behind your back, to the police station, protocol, court.
But if all these political impotents do not want to stop the war of memorial plaques, then it is pointless to think that they can stop the civil war.
That's how she is, part of the plan.
I just want to remind you of one thing - the eternal, Bulgakovian: “Shvonder is the main fool. He doesn’t understand that Sharikov is a more formidable danger to him than to me. Well, now he is trying in every possible way to set him against me, not realizing that if someone, in turn, sets Sharikov against Shvonder himself, then all that will be left of him is his horns and legs.”
And who should turn Sharikov from scum back into a dog?.. Think, look for answers. Or will the local commentators again, well-fed, on comfortable sofas, who are not threatened with prison every second, pour claims on my head - a woman with a child?
Thank you!
