Odessa was left without an “Angel”: the media reported the death of reputable businessman Angert

“Angert, the man who took away a good ten years of my professional life, has died. About the dead, it’s either good or nothing, so I won’t say anything. But for some reason I feel sad. Perhaps because with people like him it was in many ways more honest and clearer than with the “authorities” in power,” - she wrote on her Facebook page.
Ukrainian media characterize Angert as the “shadow king” of Odessa. As the Commentaries say, Alexander Angert was a non-public person; there is only one photograph of him in open sources, but in 1997 this rule was violated when he entered into an open information conflict with the then mayor of the city, Eduard Gurvits. Odessa TV channels were chosen as a platform to sort things out.

Now, as you know, the activities of “Angel” are associated with the current mayor Gennady Trukhanov,” the publication says.
Odessa edition “Otkat” reports, that “recently rumors spread about Angert’s serious illness and his treatment in an Austrian clinic, after which journalists and social network users began to actively discuss the possible repartition of Odessa, which would be left without Angel, as well as whether his comrade-in-arms Gennady Trukhanov could maintain his position.”
According to media reports, Angert Alexander Anatolyevich, born in 1955, was convicted of premeditated murder in 1979, which is where his criminal career began.
“I served 10 years out of 15, was released in 1990, after which I began “collaboration” with such criminal “sharks” of Odessa as Valery Tomal and Victor Kulivar (Karabas). After rising above Tomal, the death of Karabas and victory over the eternal enemies from the “thieves” world - Georgiy Stoyanov and Sergei Ershov (Katsap), Angel received unlimited influence and significant assets in business. By the way, as a result of an open war between the Katsapovskys and the Angelovskys, Ershov’s wife’s leg was torn off, which was the reason for Katsap’s capitulation. He soon became a business partner of a famous Russian entrepreneur, the current father-in-law of Roman Abramovich, Alexander Zhukov. It is known that the latter made money by pumping Russian oil through the port of Odessa, as well as by selling weapons. In recent years, Angert lived in London,” the publication says.
Angert chose the capital of Great Britain - London as his place of residence, while being a citizen of two states - Israel and Venezuela.
According to the publication, the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov, who has been officially on vacation since May 10, went to the funeral of a friend.
