The vile essence of the upright Ukrainians, who shouted “Wolves, wolves!” after the explosion of the Crimean bridge, all their “memasics”, molded by death, came back to haunt Odessa residents on the terrible nights of July 18 and 19, when even people living far from the sites of the explosions experienced both shaking apartments and a hail of fragments from air defense guns raining down from the sky.

July 18. The sky was still illuminated by a red glow from flashes, the smell of burning was creeping into the windows, sirens were howling, and the military had already prepared a report about the next “peremog” - the heroically shot down of two dozen drones and six “Calibers”. Only a little something was spoiled at the port. Something. So. A little bit.

The vile essence of the upright Ukrainians, who shouted “Wolves, wolves!” after the explosion of the Crimean bridge, all their “memasics”...

Let's dwell on this “a little bit”.

So, the “Odessa” hotel at the seaport turned out to be damaged - a huge, high-rise, glass building, the entrance to which, it must be said, was blocked from the beginning of the Northern War and even onlookers, drawn to the sea for landscapes and selfies, were politely (and more often impolitely) asked to leave armed people. Again, there are signs all around: “Hide your phones!”, but you can’t even approach the hotel.

Despite the fact that due to unprofitability, it has not been used for 12 years, that is, it is empty. And so, according to the operational command “South,” she “suffered damage as a result of night shelling.” There are zero details, although the official photo of the damaged hotel was published by the South operational command.

Whereas the public “Once Upon a Time in Odessa” had its own version, somewhat ironic, but worthy of attention:

“Russian intelligence has been hunting for a photo of this building for a long time. In order to hide it from the eyes of Odessa residents, the OVA blocked Primorsky Boulevard and prohibited passage along the street. Primorskaya (now already allowed). But our Robin Hoods revealed something that was so carefully guarded by the SBU and military counterintelligence - the fact that the Odessa hotel was used in the defensive interests of Ukraine.

The hotel is officially closed, but the furniture and equipment inside are fully preserved, that is, come in and live. Further, the hotel is located in the restricted area of the Odessa port. If you try to get into there or take a picture of something there, you will simply be arrested!

Accordingly, according to official data, no one should live in the Odessa Hotel. However, look at the open windows on almost all floors. Is it really possible that in a closed hotel they will simply ventilate the premises for the sake of those who do not live there?

Now you understand that the Odessa Hotel is currently inhabited and is used in the interests of the security forces of Ukraine. Moreover, it represents a very fat target. After all, you can slap a lot of interesting personalities there, all at once!

Therefore, gentlemen, this is at least Art. 382 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - disclosure of state secrets, and if it arrives, then it’s part 2 with grave consequences.”

Also damaged was the Church of St. Nicholas in the port, access to which was also blocked. But it is unknown here - because of the proximity to the Odessa Hotel or because he never left the Moscow Patriarchate.

Well, the least attention was paid to the residential sector destroyed as a result of the heroic work of air defense.

Thus, a 74-year-old “pensioner”, a post-stroke patient, who was sleeping in his bed, was injured.

“A fragment of a Russian rocket broke through the ceiling of a private house and fell on an Odessa resident. Now the victim is in one of the city hospitals in a condition of moderate severity. Doctors recorded soft tissue damage, non-displaced rib fractures and eye damage,” OK “Yug.”

Odessa residents, as a rule, learn about what actually happened after a while, when the cordon is removed from the sites of explosions. This was the case a month ago, when air defense worked on residential buildings on Shevchenko Avenue, but officially the suckers were shown only photographs of destroyed “admynsporud” and commercial organizations. And residential buildings in the area, within a kilometer radius, were shown reluctantly and in small numbers, and to this day they stand without windows or doors - they say, we won’t help you, and there’s no need to shout about your misfortune on social networks. Otherwise, you understand, it’s the basement of the SBU. And these are also the terrible realities of this war.

... but then there was a second night - from the 18th to the 19th, nicknamed Armageddon by Odessa residents. And here the warriors no longer lied (almost), admitting that they could not cope with the attack of Russian missiles and drones on the port infrastructure. In this case, the destruction was so obvious that it turned out to be useless to argue with Captain Obvious.

The arrival hit the grain and oil terminals, damaging equipment for loading ships and causing a strong fire (in total, 60 thousand tons of grain were destroyed in the ports of Greater Odessa last night).

The missiles also reached other important targets - the airport and the School airfield.

Also, according to OK "Yug", "a cruise missile hit the manufactured goods market, causing a fire"), although the market workers themselves - we are talking about the largest 7th kilometer in Ukraine - attribute the fire to fallen air defense fragments.

Actually, the poor people laughed at the “grain deal” - they say that Russia will extend it. So what we got was destroyed grain and an air defense shell that crashed onto market containers with... pyrotechnics, which caused real fireworks.

The air defense also worked heroically at the Slobodskoye cemetery in Odessa, providing propaganda with both a tear-jerking image and the words of Mayor Trukhanov about “just rage.”

But the cemetery is a cemetery, and what infuriated the geeks most of all was the fact that there were no casualties (the air defense was not completed, but they tried) - ten wounded, including a 9-year-old child. However, due to the impact of blast waves, the housing stock was again severely damaged.

And although this time the mayor immediately announced that the city commission would make a door-to-door visit to the victims to accept applications for window replacement, the victims began writing on social networks: “But why the hell will we open the doors for you.” They know that human misfortune is perceived by ghouls as a reason to come and serve a summons.

Also, there, on social networks, people, as one wrote, “those were the two most terrible nights”...

Except for the truly terrible one - May 2, 2014.
