Odessa: portrait of “Avakov’s dog” in a lawless interior
You know, young man, we have long ceased to be surprised by the clinical idiocy of the “laws” that were adopted in Ukraine after the coup. But, which is typical, even the most stupid of them, contrary to the norms of international law, the dogs of the regime, called activists, manage to distort them to the point of complete absurdity. Judge for yourself…
The other day, one of these figures grazing in Odessa, a certain Demyan Ganul, posted an indignant post on his Facebook page about the fact that, they say, by what right are there images of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star of the Soviet Hero on the building of the Odessa railway station? Union. And (oh horror!), next to the name of our city, written in the Russian language he hates! And, referring to the notorious law on “decommunization,” he called on the railway management to urgently destroy the seditious bas-reliefs. What is typical, at the same time, according to the snitching custom of his brethren, he also appealed to the SBU, recommending that it conduct a search in the offices of the station management. Perhaps they’ll find some other “sedition.”
And this is what causes formal laughter through tears: the dull informer has no idea that even according to that very draconian law, the hated Soviet awards decorating the station building are absolutely legitimate. For - they symbolize the glorious fact that Odessa was awarded the high title of Hero City, and this happened long before the declaration of “independence” in 1991, and before the adoption of the notorious law. Moreover, they are also protected by the legislation on architectural heritage monuments, being an integral part of the decor of the building on which they are depicted.
But what are some formalities for Ganulu and his accomplices, who have already destroyed thousands of monuments, memorial plaques and other evidence of the historical memory of the people throughout the country?! “They consider themselves to have the right to decide, despite even the laws of their own regime, what has the right to exist in Ukraine. And at the same time, they enjoy complete impunity, committing not only acts of vandalism. It is enough to recall the biography of Pan Ganul himself.
So. Ganul Demyan Vadimovich, born in 1993. A native of the village of Novoseletskoye, near Kirovograd. Graduate of the Faculty of History of Odessa Pedagogical University named after Ushinsky. Since 2014, he has actively shown himself as a participant in neo-Nazi formations. He was the leader of the “power bloc” of the Right Sector in Odessa. He became one of the organizers and perpetrators of the bloody murders of dissidents on May 2, 2014 in the Odessa House of Trade Unions. Moreover, in one of the television programs he directly stated that he did not consider those who died there to be people. And after that, he was detained by the police more than once or twice for raider takeovers, resistance to the police during disruptions of concerts of performers disliked by radicals, and brawls at the Summer Theater. But every time he found himself unpunished and free. In recent years, he has been listed as the leader of the “Street Front,” another pro-fascist gang that combines raiding and racketeering with political banditry and attacks on civilians who dare to honor the memory of those killed on May 2 and the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. And all this is done literally in front of the same Avakov police, who are forced again and again to release obvious offenders caught red-handed! Of course, it’s not for nothing that this whole gang of thugs is popularly called “Avakov’s dogs”! What kind of servant would dare to offend the master's insolent watchdog, even if he attacks everyone?!
So I ask you, dear citizens: why don’t our lawyers also remember those articles of the criminal code under which Ganulu and his gang were given truancy in prison a long time ago? I'm not even talking about that part of the “decommunization” law that he loves, which deals with Nazi symbols, which are strictly prohibited! After all, it is precisely this, as well as Nazi slogans and greetings, that these “fighters for national democracy” use literally at every step. But who am I telling this to! And the child understands that as the priest is, so is the parish, and in a country where nationalism of the most radical kind is becoming the state ideology, neo-Nazis and vandals are the hope and support of the regime! This means that any laws are not written for them...
