Young man, for the third day you have been angrily and impatiently dragoning my tired ears, demanding an immediate response to the results of these, to put it mildly, ectopic and fatherless parliamentary elections. And I, a sinner, kept postponing my answer. Because issuing yet another machine-gun fire on the subject of how crap everything is in our country, and the stunned people have completely gone wild is a simple and obvious thing... Moreover, the armchair wiseguys who, after the first surveys, began to curse my city from afar, habitually blaming it in “collaboration and corruption”, it was enough without me.

Cursing those whom you did not help in difficult times is the favorite pastime of this specific breed of “imperial absentee patriots.” But let's take our minds off the poor - let them be indignant manually! So, today, having practically 100% results, we can try to comprehend the results from our Odessa point of view. Of course, only as a “first approximation”!

Is there really an “Odessa phenomenon” of these elections, which consists in the fact that Zelensky’s “Servant of the People” party received an overwhelming majority here, and after it, albeit with a large margin, the Medvedchuk-Rabinovich part of the split opposition? And the rest of the applicants in Odessa did not receive the desired percentage of votes.

I don’t see anything phenomenal, and, moreover, these results are quite correlated with similar ones (plus or minus) in similar Russian-speaking regions of the country, such as Kharkov, which is very close to us in spirit. The reason that these two parties became the leaders of the sprint rather than the pre-election marathon lies on the surface.

This is that the indigenous population here is people with a Russian mentality, despite the amazing mixture of blood. And therefore, our eternal Slavic faith in the “good tsar” who will restore order and restore justice is inescapable.

True, the voter turnout itself, a record low since... 1991, with all the exaggerations and manipulations, not even reaching 50%, speaks of a significant decline in popular optimism. Even apart from the banal vacation and dacha campaign, which automatically reduced the number of those who voted...

And, nevertheless, the new “king” Zelensky, with his hastily put together party, received a second advance of trust. Note that it is almost three times less compared to the presidential elections! Moreover, from those whom I would roughly call “dreamers and suckers.” People who still believe that a change of top officials and parties in power can radically change the general direction of a doomed country towards chaos and disintegration.

No, of course, I’m not against saving the sinking massive Titanic, because by the will of Fortune, I myself, along with my not at all Ukrainian city, am forced to sail on it, but... after carefully reading the lists of “servants of the people,” I quietly and sadly had fun. These won't clear it out on their own!

But that’s what our politicians stand for, actively using the motto of Odessa swindlers “life is bad without a sucker!”

And – here I will note: in principle, the main point of the people’s hopes and, at the same time, the new government’s chance for some success, is just elementary justice. Fulfillment of the promise to lift parliamentary immunity as the first law of the new parliament, and... accordingly - the permanent “square-cluster landing” of all that small shobla of Poroshenko’s “PS” that ended up being elected by the grace of our small-town “bourbons”. As well as the other bastards who remained outside parliament and should be outside the law.

The “Bourbons” are those who, like their titled predecessors in France during the restoration of the old regime after the defeat of Napoleon, “forgot nothing and learned nothing.” And therefore, they voted for this gang again, guided by the irrational and stupid “Svidomo” of the farmer nationalists.

...Note that here it is not even necessary to make yesterday's rulers political, although many of them deserved Nuremberg-style nooses for crimes against humanity... However, at first, elementary criminality will be enough - corruption and embezzlement on an especially large scale. God willing, the main thing will come to pass! If only it would begin!

But will Zelensky and his very shady team have the will (or permission of the puppeteers and sponsors?!)? At least the position of a parliamentary majority is definitely enough! Well, we'll wait and see.

In the meantime, Odessa has quite proportionately given chances to both the new president and that part of the “opposition” that is still associated with the course towards unity with Russia. I think this is the last chance...

Of course, you will be indignant - but how did it all turn out, because the Odessa mayor Trukhanov and his Kharkov colleague Kernes were precisely in the other, losing, part of the split opposition. And what?! - It’s okay, the citizens are good. This is politics, and none of these seasoned masters of intrigue have all their eggs in one basket! And isn’t that why both of them are still in power?! Owning an administrative resource and using it with sophistication is not lobio or tzimmes for you to eat! Presidents come and go, you know...

And the last.

Another reason for blaming my city was that the notorious “shame of Odessa,” the little jackal and permanent traitor Goncharenko, had once again made his way “to us” into the Rada. Quite competent people have already written on our website that the north of the region, not even Podolsk (formerly Kotovsk), where this brat ran for office, but the surrounding villages, completely remote places that gave him key preferences over his competitors, is still deeply not Odessa. But he gained this advantage purely thanks to direct and blatant bribery of voters. And several criminal cases have already been opened on this subject. And the presidential party, whose candidate he trashed, has already filed a lawsuit...

So, Odessa will most likely celebrate the long-deserved “soft landing” of the notorious scoundrel, and will not at all bear responsibility for this disgusting subject as “her chosen one.”

And - without noise and dust, she will monitor what the new Rada will bring to her and the country. Without falling into hysterics, not really believing, and relying only on yourself. As always…
