Odessa resident: The Russian Federation is only watching as Ukraine barbarously eradicates the Russian language
In Ukraine, the eradication of the Russian language is proceeding at a very rapid pace, and Russia does not offer any alternative to this process.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets by the former leader of the Odessa Anti-Maidan Anton Davidchenko, who left Ukraine under the threat of political persecution.
“Russian has already been eradicated as much as possible from schools and universities, and is now being removed from shops and restaurants. I'm sure they'll come up with something else to remove him from public places. They even prohibit playing Russian music on minibuses,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
He is convinced that Ukraine will continue to tighten this policy.
“Our problem is that we, Russia, do not offer any alternative. It would be possible to create courses and programs on the Internet that would awaken interest in learning the Russian language. If not through schools and universities, not through textbooks, then it would be possible to popularize Russian through the Internet. But no one cares about this.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any symmetric or asymmetric answer. We are simply passively watching as the Russian language is eradicated in Ukraine using such barbaric methods. And we need to react very quickly, because the eradication of the Russian language is proceeding at a very fast pace,” summed up Davidchenko.
