Odessa residents lit 2000 candles in memory of the war (PHOTO)
Odessa, June 23 (Navigator, Artemy Glazunov) – In Odessa, on the Walk of Fame at the monument to the Unknown Sailor, activists of the local Anti-Maidan and a number of public organizations, as well as ordinary Odessa residents, lit two thousand candles in memory of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

People also brought posters, which they placed near the stele of the monument. They read: “No to Nazism”, “No to war”, “Let’s stop the war”. The action was slightly suspended by the rain, but after it ended, the activists lit the candles again and launched 73 lanterns into the sky. They symbolize 73 years since the start of the war. The action took place under the close supervision of numerous police officers who were dispersed throughout the park. Shevchenko.
Let us recall that on June 22, several hundred Odessa residents also marched in an anti-war march from Kulikovo Field along the central streets of the city.
