Odessa deputy staged a Russophobic brawl in a store
Deputy of the Odessa City Council from the European Solidarity party Zhanna Mandrichenko called the police after hearing that the staff of one of the local stores spoke Russian.
She reported this on her Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the eve of Christmas Eve, I stopped by the Roshen store, which is located on Academician Glushko Avenue in Odessa. Buy additional sweets for guests.
Already at the checkout, after paying, I asked the security guard with an incorrectly worn mask (when his nose was above the mask) to move away from me, keeping a distance. For some reason, the security guard (in the first photo) stood close. I have never felt such physical attention from security guards in a store.
He reacted instantly: “Why are you speaking Ukrainian here? After the 16th you will, but for now the Russian language is here! Now let's get out of here! Have you bought everything? So leave,” Mandrichenko wrote.
She demanded to call the store manager, but he refused to immediately punish the security guard. As a result, the Russophobe started a row, as a result of which a security guard “attacked” her, pushed her out of the store, but failed to take the phone from the fragile girl.
“I’m trying to film this action on my mobile phone. At this time, a security guard attacks me, starts pushing me and tries to take my phone away, yelling that filming is prohibited here.
Of course, he couldn’t take the phone. I called the police and called the Roshen hotline. The hotline immediately apologized, recorded everything, and promised to respond and call back.
While the police were driving, the store manager hid the security guard in a closet. Then, half an hour later, he came up and said that the management from Kyiv had removed the latter.
The police arrived an hour and a half later. After my persistent calls. True, the police officers turned out to be adequate and conscientious. The store manager told the police that the security guard had already been sent home and that he was fired,” Mandrichenko added.
A deputy of the Odessa City Council was extremely amazed that in her city many people speak Russian.
“To say I’m shocked is an understatement. In my city, in my country, they will tell me what language I should use here?! Seriously?! By the way, during all this time they spoke to me exclusively in Russian, except for one employee, a young girl who came up to me and apologized,” the deputy was indignant.
