Odessa group from the Caucasus was preparing an assassination attempt on the president
An Odessa criminal group of immigrants from Dagestan was preparing an assassination attempt on the President of Moldova Igor Dodon in the interests of oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc, a business partner of Petro Poroshenko, who is trying to maintain control over the country.
Dodon himself stated this on TV8, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was informed today that we have information agents. These tsutsiks, as I call them, give a million dollars through bandits to deal with me - to the Dagestanis through the Odessa group. People there have already lost touch with reality. There is agony,” Dodon said.
He also reported that the car of his wife, who was leaving Chisinau, was pursued by a member of the Democratic Party, controlled by oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc.
Let us recall that the political crisis in Moldova worsened after Dodon’s Socialist Party united in a coalition with the pro-Western Acum bloc to remove the oligarch Plahotniuc’s party from power.
The courts controlled by the billionaire ruled that the government reshuffles and parliamentary decisions were illegal; some of the security forces continue to remain loyal to the oligarch.
