Odessa Maidan activist: Our city was built by Freemasons, not Russians
It is necessary to “cut to hell” the umbilical cord of Odessa’s Russian and Soviet past, in the name of the idea of “Ukrainian-centrism.”
One of the former leaders of the Odessa Euromaidan, Irina Medushevskaya, who has a reputation as a city madwoman, stated this on the YouTube channel Ukrlife, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She is convinced that the city of Odessa, built by the Russian Empress Catherine II, was built by Freemasons.
“We’ll rename the streets, we won’t have Moscow, Rostov – all these Russian marks. A very good monument to Pushkin, it was erected on the 50th anniversary of his death. There were subscription lists and they collected money from the townspeople. But! By the way, it has a Masonic star on it. Not everyone sees it. Because the city was built by the Masons. These are not Russians - Freemasons! They made a free city. Not vertically, as in the empire, but horizontally.
The Masons were horizontal. We had no serfs. We are a free city and remain so to this day,” Medushevskaya is indignant.
The Maidan activist added that the Russian Federation will not abandon its attempts to “occupy Ukraine” and called on compatriots to “kill Russians for their freedom.”
“Since 2014, we have been singing our anthem, where “we will lay down our soul and body for our freedom.” We are free, understand? We already have it genetically. When they want to somehow conquer us, occupy us – that’s it, it blows our minds. We will kill for our freedom. If we die, we will die, but the enemy will not pass. Army, language, faith – period. The only way.
I am for Ukrainian-centrism. Now - no Russian World, no marks, Pushkin and Turgenev. They didn’t even read Pushkin.
We cut and cut this soviet umbilical cord into pieces, it bleeds and bleeds, but does not fall off. And now we’ll cut it off: we’ll cut it to hell without waiting for peritonitis. We'll do it. We have already won. I’m proud of Ukraine, Odessa,” added Medushevskaya.
