In Odessa, a monument to sailors who took part in the uprising on the battleship Potemkin in 1905 was desecrated.
On the monument, which is located on Customs Square, the vandals wrote in red paint: “Death to the Red Executioners.”
In turn, youth activists led by the head of the regional Komsomol organization Ivan Kolotovichev cleaned up the monument, washing off the offensive inscription.
“This was done by young communists who know and honor the history of their countries. No one will ever be able to break their spirit and will. The truth is stronger than lies and vandalism. Comrades, resist the Nazi occupation... The fight for Ukraine continues!
