In Odessa, Ukrainian Nazis poured blood on a portrait of Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov and declared that they would not allow his glorification in the city.
The action was organized by the militants of the “National Corps”, who gathered near the Kulikovo Field, fearing that the mayor’s office would decide to return the previous name to the current “Heavenly Hundred” Avenue, which until 2016 was called Marshal Zhukov Avenue.

“This man, in addition to killing hundreds of thousands of people during the Second World War, distinguished himself during the Red Terror, during the civil war... Zhukov is now a disgrace. His image on memorial plaques, the names of streets and avenues in his honor at this point in our history cannot exist. We will correct this situation in the near future. “The National Corps takes on such responsibilities - there will be no mention of this person in our city and in our country,” said one of the speaking members of the National Corps.
