An Odessa gynecologist sued a woman in labor after he kicked her out of the maternity hospital
Odessa, April 05 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Galina Gerashchenko, a mother of six children from the village of Lenino, Frunzovsky district, received a summons to court. The lawsuit was filed by a gynecologist at the central district hospital, about whom the woman complained to the government hotline, as well as to journalists.

According to the publication "Highway E-95", the scandal erupted after the doctor demanded 6 thousand UAH for performing a caesarean section, and, having met the dissatisfaction of relatives, kicked the woman in labor out of the maternity hospital.
Due to a complaint about the hotline and repeated complaints about the gynecologist’s work from other patients, the doctor was reprimanded. The regional health department removed the qualification category from him and ordered an extraordinary certification.
After a conflict with a woman in labor, the gynecologist is constantly on sick leave. This complicates the work of law enforcement agencies conducting an investigation.
Meanwhile, the doctor managed to file a lawsuit, defending his honor, dignity and business reputation. He intends to recover moral damages in the amount of 20 thousand UAH from the woman and her family members. Of this amount, the woman in labor and her husband must pay 8 thousand each, and 4 thousand must be paid by the sister of the woman in labor. They were together during the conflict.
