Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Vladimir Nemirovsky intends to do this by Victory Day so that the festive military parade can take place in the traditional place. In his opinion, city residents are tired of “suspicious individuals.”
“We feel that many Odessa residents are annoyed by this festival of subjects who are not in a hurry to go home, living right on the street. We feel it. I have already said that tents on the Kulikovo Field are illegal. Nothing changed. And every day we are getting closer to the Great Victory Day,” he wrote on his page on the social network.
The governor said that he intends to personally prevent pro-Russian activists.
“On May 9, according to Odessa tradition, a large-scale military parade will be held on Kulikovo Field. There will be veterans, there will be children, there will be beautiful military equipment. And if someone calling himself a patriot of Odessa decides to disrupt the great holiday of our veterans, he will deal with me personally.”
Let us recall that earlier Euromaidan activists criticized Nemirovsky’s work for indecisiveness regarding the pro-Russian camp. “We want to understand: is he on our side or is he on some moon?” – said activist Mark Gordienko.
