Bulgakov’s eternal “Buy red commissars - they don’t fight, they don’t break, they just tumble” is being brought to life in Ukraine.

It is enough to read the legendary biography of the governor of the Odessa region Sergei Grinevetsky: 25 years old - 1st secretary of the district committee of the Komsomol, 29 years old - 1st secretary of the regional committee of the Komsomol, 33 years old - 1st secretary of the district committee of the Communist Party (and this is greatly abbreviated - according to Wikipedia there and the film “The Shining Path” is looming).

Bulgakov’s eternal “Buy red commissars - they don’t fight, they don’t break, they just tumble” is embodied in...

The rapid and well-deserved rise of a faithful Leninist paved the red carpet for Grinevetsky up the career ladder - already in the mid-90s he became the head of the secretariat of the Odessa Regional Council, then for seven years he was the governor of the region; for the time being, he was elected to people’s deputies more than once. One might even think that he was a decent person. By the way, he was not seen publicly burning his party card, as is fashionable. And he didn’t jump on the Maidan (or did it unnoticed). However, after the revolutionary events of 2014, he was lustrated according to the law “On the Cleansing of Power.”

In terms of decommunization, Grinevetsky is generally a textbook exhibit. In theory, Farion, as a teaching aid in her program “Gene of Ukrainians,” should show it and exclaim “Tse zhakh!” in Shakespearean style. And the patriots should draw up a training manual based on Grinevetsky’s biography - so, they say, who should be the first to not only be shoved into a garbage container (as they did with people of lower rank), but hanged on a whole “gilyak” so that he could swing and dangle his legs funny! For his biography, again, like Bulgakov’s, “cannot be more lousy.”

Actually, that’s why Grinevetsky was perceived by the people as something like Mykola Azarov or the late Yevgeny Kushnarev - they say, men of that caliber, they wouldn’t allow arbitrariness in Ukraine...

And just imagine, this “still seasoned” communist Grinevetsky, newly appointed governor of the Odessa region, is standing, laying flowers at the memorial plaque to nationalists Ivan and Yuri Lipa, and delivering a speech:

“The Ukrainian public celebrates the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of Kruty and honors the young freedom fighters who fell under the Kruty railway station. This battle became a symbol of heroism and devotion to the Ukrainian state and the national idea, and its date—January 29, 1918—was the day of national tragedy, when Ukrainian young volunteers came out in defense of the UPR and took on an unequal battle with an army of almost five thousand.”

Only Grinevetsky is silent about the fact that the army was Bolshevik, on the victories of which he built his career. And that the bulk of the young men were not exactly volunteers, but cannon fodder, thrown to their deaths by cowardly provocateurs.

And next to Grinevetsky are the Sharikovs - radicals and decommunizers from the Institute of National Memory and his local leader Sergey Gutsalyuk. And he also speaks in his own way, like a bird:

“As for Odessa, on January 29 the Bolsheviks rose up against the UPR and began to seize the city center. The military who remained loyal to the city were the cadets of the Odessa school and the Odessa Gaidamak division, consisting of Odessa residents and organized by Odessa residents. There were terrible street battles. The warship that was holding the Bolsheviks opened artillery fire on Odessa, there was a lot of destruction, and an order came from Kyiv to leave Odessa.”

And do you think it’s disgusting for a decommunizer to stand with a faithful Leninist, they turn their faces away from each other? Never! On the contrary, in alliance with Grinevetsky Gutsalyuk, his comrades constantly report on demolition “at last, the last monument to Lenin” in the Odessa region (just after the next “last”, they always find another and another, and heroically demolish them) - still some action, and not boring harvests with milk yield. Manager Grinevetsky, of course, knows better - maybe, according to his personal calculations, the fewer monuments, the cheaper the gas, or at least it will be supplied to all regional villages?..

But how did this happen? I mean, this nonsense is a collaboration between a communist and fascists?

I already wrote that shortly before his appointment as governor, Grinevetsky won the court, proving that he was not subject to the lustration ban provided for by the law “On the Cleansing of Power.” That is, he is of sound mind and sober memory recognized occupation regime and went into his service.

And regarding the national idea mentioned by the Odessa governor, the famous publicist Miroslava Berdnik very opportunely published a post on her Facebook: “Today is the day of remembrance of the “Heroes of Krut.” In the photo - one of the commanders of the “heroes of Krut”, who left the guys to die at the station - centurion Averky Goncharenko while serving in the Waffen SS division "Galicia". Died in 1980 in the USA."

Actually, when those who died at Kruty are honored by the Sharikovs from the Institute of National Remembrance and other radicals, I don’t see any dissonance here. But there are questions about Grinevetsky - in particular, in terms of phantom pains: does the Komsomol badge not pierce the heart when he realizes that schoolchildren and students betrayed by the Ukrainian “elite” died at the hands of his ideological inspirers? Doesn’t your party card burn a hole in your pocket from the understanding that the heroes of Ukraine are SS fascists?

It turns out, no. Because nothing has changed: representatives of the Ukrainian “elite” even now (especially now!) are, like Grinevetsky, traitors.
