Odessa communist from “Borotba” Alexey Albu joined the “Ghost” brigade
Deputy of the Odessa City Council and leader of the Odessa cell of the communist association “Borotba” banned in Ukraine, Alexey Albu, who was forced to hide from persecution by the Ukrainian authorities for more than a year after the events in Odessa on May 2, 2014, joined the “Ghost” brigade.

About it the left-wing activist himself said on his page on the social network.
“The news of my joining “Ghost” spread with great speed! This makes me happy,” he wrote.
At the same time, Alexey Albu clarified a number of points regarding his participation in “Ghost” in order, according to him, to avoid possible speculation on this topic.
“But I would like to make a few points clear. I actually graduated from the faculty of training reserve officers at the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces. But I didn’t join “Ghost” to fight. That's not mine. And it's not about fear. Everyone is afraid. But this fear can be overcome.
It's about my attitude to life. I believe that I have no right to take it away.
I can't kill a person. Even the very last scoundrel. If I kill, I will suffer for the rest of my life, worrying that I have deprived someone of their son, and someone of their father. That's why I don't fight. Therefore, today I was given a certificate without permission to carry and store weapons,” writes a communist from Borotba.
According to him, his area of responsibility in the brigade is organizational work.
“My business is organization. I will do everything I can to overthrow the power of nationalists and oligarchs and build a new, more just society! Alexey Borisovich Mozgovoy gathered around him people fighting for just this!
I want to help organize the work of the military economy. I know about all the social obligations of the Brigade. About the work of social canteens, which are becoming more and more difficult to maintain every day... About how soldiers give their last piece of bread to feed ordinary citizens... I really hope that everything will change! And that I can be useful.”, – Alexey Albu clarified.
