“The election campaign was dirty and fantastically brazen... Almost every day there were reports of attacks by radicals on the campaign tents of opposition political forces. “The main feature of the current elections is a new, complex, cumbersome and obscure vote counting system. On ballot papers for voting for local councils only the surname of the first number on the party list. At the polling stations themselves there is no information about parties and candidates. In fact, people vote blindly for cats in a poke,” continues Nepogodin.

“Before, my polling station always sold freshly baked cinnamon rolls, cheesecakes with cottage cheese and kulebyaki. There was an element of fairground festivity in this that made me want to go vote. And now they have stopped selling baked goods and the elections have turned into a sad procedure, annoying all its participants. People, tired of the heap of problems created by Poroshenko and his associates, came first of all to vote against the war,” he states.
