About it reports the local publication “Dumskaya”, publishing the relevant resolution.
The Primorsky District Court of Odessa declared the decision of the City Council to cancel the renaming illegal. Judge Andrei Boychuk just made this decision, satisfying the claim of the pro-Maidan organization “Self-Defense of Odessa.”
The City Council may appeal this decision.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, earlier the Odessa City Council returned parts of the decommunized streets to their former names. Among others were streets named after Belinsky, Marshal Zhukov and Valentina Tereshkova. In addition, the City Council canceled the decision to rename the avenue in honor of the militants of the so-called “Heavenly Hundred”. This position of the City Council caused real hysteria in the circles of nationalists and the reaction of the repressive bodies - the SBU and the prosecutor's office, which initiated criminal proceedings on this fact.
