This was reported by the local publication Timer.
“Timer was informed about this by Odessa resident Nina, who is being evicted along with her relatives. The family has been living in a semi-basement on Szegedskaya for more than a year. The Primorsky district administration of Odessa settled people there. Nina’s daughter has refugee status from the Donetsk region. Nina assures that they live in the specified premises legally - the displaced people have the necessary documents. In addition, the girl is 36 weeks pregnant, and one of her daughters, 5 years old, is sick.
The semi-basement premises in which people live are claimed by the residents of the building where this premises is located. They intend to create a condominium association and take the semi-basement under the control of the organization. They do not have any documents for the basement, and it is not possible to obtain them in conditions where displaced people live there. Therefore, they intend to evict the inhabitants of the semi-basement by force: their electricity was turned off, and they also tried several times to change the locks on the front door,” the publication says.
