One of the leaders of the Serbian Maidan activists got into a “cassette scandal”
Against the backdrop of failed rallies of the Serbian pro-Western opposition (the last one on Friday in the city of Novi Sad attracted only 30 supporters), one of its leaders once again found himself at the epicenter of a scandal. The media leaked a wiretapped telephone conversation between former Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, head of the People's Party, an opposition member of the Union for Serbia, and former Montenegrin diplomat Milan Rocen.
An exclusive recording was published by the IN4S portal.
As part of the conversation, we talked about organizing an event for thirty people in the most expensive place in Montenegro - the island of Sveti Stefan.
Milan Rocen, the former ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro in Moscow, assured the oppositionist that he had agreed on everything with the former director of the best hotel on the island, Per Razhenovich.
And everything would be fine, but in a conversation both of them laughed and insulted their countries, using obscene expressions.
This entry caused a flurry of negative comments and public indignation.
The first to speak out was the deputy chairman of the central committee of the Serbian Progressive Party, Milenko Jovanov:
“By saying “….eat mother Serbia!”, this creature perfectly described the results of the policy they pursued, and which could only be repeated again if they - Djilas, Tadic, Obradovic, Lutovac and the rest of their gang of thieves, could get back to power. Their disgusting laughter shows that they really enjoy this. Not only were they thieves who almost destroyed the country, but they did it deliberately and with pleasure.
They laughed at people, just as they still laugh today when they post photos on Instagram showing how they spend what they stole from the same people. And after that they want to be the president of Serbia. It's disgusting! – Informer quoted the politician.
Journalist Uroš Piper, a former ally of Jeremić and ex-media coordinator of the People's Party, also expressed his regret over the publication of the shameful recording. He said that the current chairman of the executive committee of the party, Jeremic, called the Montenegrin media today and expressed threats regarding the publication of the wiretap.
