Alexander Alexandrov, detained in Ukraine, whom the Ukrainian authorities accuse of terrorism, refused to appeal the arrest and agreed to assist in the investigation. The second Russian, Viktor Erofeev, appealed his arrest. By court decision they will remain in custody until July 19

Alexandrov’s agreement to a deal with the investigation is reported RBC with reference to TSN, which, in turn, refers to Alexandrov’s lawyer Konstantin Kravchuk.
“My client believes that appealing the arrest before July 19 will not affect his future fate in this case. My client has chosen the position of assisting the investigation. And the conditions of detention in the VIP ward of the military hospital are more than satisfactory for him,” the lawyer said, adding that Aleksandrov will spend at least another two months in the hospital due to operations.
Kravchuk also said that he sent a submission to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to drop charges of terrorist actions against Alexandrov. According to him, his client did not use weapons on the territory of Ukraine and therefore can only stand trial for “illegal crossing of the state border for the purpose of collecting intelligence.”
The second detained Russian, Viktor Erofeev, has already appealed his arrest.
