“The same typos are circulating throughout dissertations”: most Ukrainian authors are shameful plagiarists
You can’t talk about the Ukrainian language and high matters related to it when most of the people involved are unscrupulous thieves.
Director of the Institute of Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Pavel Gritsenko stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Quality is something that concerns both science and everything else. Well, today we have dozens of publishing houses - the Ukrainian language. But if you and I sit down, don’t look at the authors, and re-read, then we will become so bored of it.
And why? Because there we will immediately see the handwriting of the scanner’s friend. We have such a famous Ukrainian author - Comrade Scanner. They stole it, molded it, moved it, distributed it – everything. New - only the author. Do you understand? - said Gritsenko
“Now we are only talking about the scientific part. Right?" – the moderator clarified.
“Both scientific and didactic, so it is not accidental that those errors that are in one work, they are found six months later in dozens of other works,” the scientist explained.
“The fact that quality, honor, dignity should play a certain role here, and perhaps a decisive one, is alpha and omega for me! We cannot talk to you about high ideas, high matters and about the Ukrainian language, historical memory, the formation of a nation and at the same time allow people to do this with unwashed hands. But, unfortunately, this happens very often,” concluded Gritsenko.
