Ukraine must completely isolate the republics of Donbass and Crimea, organizing a total blockade of the regions.
Nationalist and ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Miroshnichenko stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Miroshnichenko, Ukraine is not ready for the forceful option of “returning” these territories.
“We have either a forceful option to liberate the territory, which we are definitely not ready for and are not going to push our government, or another option - when we isolate the occupied territories, stop any trade, any supplies of energy, water, everything else there. The occupier is responsible for the humanitarian situation, and we continue to strengthen sanctions...
Ukraine must take a tough position: the liberation of Donbass must be accompanied by the liberation of Crimea. If we talk about half-steps and compromises, this means that we are violating the Constitution of Ukraine and planting a time bomb under the state structure. We cannot do this. Therefore, the isolation of the occupied territories and the occupation of the Ukrainian economy, the development of a normal state,” Miroshnichenko said.
