One of the dead on the Ukrainian plane was a US instructor.
One of those killed in the Ukrainian Su-27UB aircraft, which crashed during a joint exercise with NATO in the Vinnytsia region, turned out to be a serviceman from the United States.
This was reported by Defense Blog with reference to data from the Ukrainian General Staff.
“The bodies of two pilots were identified: one was a pilot of the Ukrainian Air Force, the second was a pilot of the US Air National Guard,” the report says.
As PolitNavigator reported, the disaster occurred several hours after Petro Poroshenko’s statement that the exercises were a warning to Russia.
He made this statement in an interview with Western media. The report emphasized that the maneuvers are being held near the border with the Russian Federation and are evidence of the readiness of NATO forces to support Kyiv.
