It is noted that the heads of the following are leaving: the main operational directorate, Lieutenant General Nikolai Kosyachenko, the intelligence directorate, Lieutenant General Kazimir Botashev, the main organizational and mobilization directorate, Lieutenant General Pavel Bobkov, the main communications directorate, Lieutenant General Alexey Belyakov, the main directorate for work with personnel, general Lieutenant Nikolai Ryabchikov, Department of State Program Implementation and Procurement Organization Colonel Alexander Elin, Financial and Economic Department Lieutenant General Vyacheslav Savkin, Contractual and Legal Department Major General Alexander Shkolnikov and Head of the Military Band Service Colonel Vladimir Vasyak.

At the same time, the Russian Guard refused to comment on these personnel decisions, since the president appoints and dismisses generals to the reserve.

At the same time, a source in the security department told the publication that this had nothing to do with the latest illegal rallies and actions.

“The Russian Guard is a living organism, where some kind of reshuffle is constantly taking place: it’s time for someone to retire, some units are merging into single units, organizational planned measures are taking place with the reduction of officers and generals. Officers are dismissed by order of the head of the Russian Guard, and the names of generals are submitted for signature in one report to the president. Generals are fired one by one only in exceptional cases,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
