Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev today published in his TG channel sharp criticism of the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean.

“A mysterious creature named Rechan reported that neither the President of Russia nor Russian officials will be able to enter his country - Moldova. Well, first of all, no one is going there now. Maybe somehow later... And secondly, there is no such country anymore. Local leaders sold it to Romania, becoming traitors to their homeland. And there is no point in talking to them about anything. Let the people deal with them. And he will finally decide who they are – Moldovans or Romanians. With the understanding, of course, that all sorts of rechans and sands there will respect the sovereignty of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic,” Medvedev wrote.
The Kremlin agreed with his position.
“Look, they have already destroyed their language. They don't call it Moldovan anymore. We also see a drift towards absorption by Romania. We see actions aimed at deliberately curtailing our sovereignty, and so on, and so on. We see a huge number of people who disagree with this policy in the country,” said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Many deputies and senators also spoke out on the Moldovan issue.
“We must closely monitor what is happening in Moldova. We must guarantee the safety of Russian citizens and our compatriots in Transnistria. I think that the best solution would be to advance to the borders of Transnistria during a special operation. In any case, Russia has already made a statement at a fairly high level that in the event of an attack on Transnistria, Russia will defend these territories as its own.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova refused to comment on the “derogatory and unacceptable statements” of officials of the Russian Federation, but once again summoned the Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov for explanations.
