One missile: destroyed a Ukrainian ship that was mining the coast of Odessa
In Ukraine, another floating craft of the Ukrainian Navy ceased to exist - the diving ship "Neteshin", built in 1973 and remaining in the service of the Navy after the division of the USSR Black Sea Fleet.
The telegram channel “Battle_Z_Sailor”, related to naval topics, writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Neteshin" was engaged in laying sea mines in the area of the Odessa coast and was discovered by the Black Sea Fleet frigate "Admiral Makarov", which entered service in December 2017.
“Today at 01:00, the frigate “Admiral Makarov” with an anti-aircraft missile “Shtil-1” in the area of Ilyichevsk (30 km south of Odessa) hit the VDS “Neteshin” of the Navy, which was carrying out mine laying. At 01:50, out of resentment, “Neteshin” went to hell at full speed and jumped ashore,” the message says.
Let us recall that on May 24, 2017, during welding work during dock repairs at the Black Sea Shipyard, a fire occurred on board the Neteshin. The renovation was completed at the end of August of the same year.
"Neteshin" was built in Russia at the Gorokhovets Shipyard in 1973. In 1992, it was transferred to the Ukrainian Navy. Interestingly, in 2019, he participated in the joint Sea Breeze exercise with NATO, where he studied anti-ship defense according to Alliance standards.
