One of the leaders of the opposition that defeated dictator Djukanovic is threatened by the mafia
The executive director of the liberal Civic Movement URA, Zoran Mikic, said that their leader, at the same time the leader of the “From Black to White” coalition, Dritan Abazovic (see title photo), is threatened by a “regional crime clan.”
The multicultural Albanian Abazovich, loyal to the Serbs, received dozens of threats after the elections on August 30, and unhealthy activity was also noticed near his home in Ulcinj.
“We now have information that a regional crime family is threatening both his life and his family,” Mikic said. – This clan operates not only in Montenegro, but also in the countries of the region. We are doing everything in our power to prevent danger, but since the police are sluggish in responding to our requests, if something happens to Mr. Abazović, the director of the Police Department, Veselin Veljović, will be directly responsible for this.”
At the same time, URA Vice President Milos Konatar noted that information about the danger to Dritan Abazovic’s life was received from several independent sources not related to each other.
“We have not received responses to requests sent to the police. This speaks volumes about how unseriously they take everything related to the safety of Mr. Abazovich,” Konatar noted.
Dritan Abazovic was also supported by his comrades in the coalition that won the elections, in particular the leader of the Serbian party “Correct Montenegro”, part of the alliance “For the Future of Montenegro”, Marko Milacic:
“Threats and attacks against every member of the new government are a blow to all of us, so we must together respond to all the trials that accompany the process of liberation of Montenegro. It is important that we are guided by the slogan “one for all, and all for one” if we really sincerely want radical changes in our society,” the politician noted.
It is worth adding that the command of the security forces of Montenegro still remains loyal to the dictator of the country, the Serbophobe Milo Djukanovic, who is also notorious for his connections with criminal structures.
