The investigative department of the military prosecutor's office of the Central region of Ukraine, together with the internal security department of the SBU, exposed an officer of the Main Directorate of the Security Service in Kiev and the Kiev region of receiving unlawful benefits in the form of computer equipment, worth more than 40 thousand UAH, from a citizen for assisting him in further business activities by removing obstacles and solving problems with law enforcement agencies.

During a search of the officer's apartment, property that was obtained as an unlawful benefit was seized.
Now a petition has been filed with the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv to select a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention.
As noted, the investigation established that the officer who received the bribe is a candidate for the position of detective in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and has already passed the second stage of the competitive selection.
