Navy officer: “Crimean Spring” is a pro-Ukrainian term. Spring was Russian
Propaganda for the resilience of the people of Sevastopol and Crimea, who have remained loyal to Russia for many years, should take place at the state level, because the events of the Russian Spring are often presented only as a successful special operation of the Russian security forces.
The head of the Sevastopol House of Officers of the Black Sea Fleet, Vladimir Piskaikin, stated this at a round table, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In a year or two, 10, 50 years, people in the world, in our country, will talk about how the “Russian Spring” happened in Sevastopol, in Crimea. And today there are a huge number of versions, because our state does not behave actively and aggressively in terms of information.
But, on the other hand, starting with the fascists in the United States of America, the English fascists, the Ukrainian nationalists, they are doing everything to turn the truth around, package it in the packaging they need and feed this “truth”, first of all, to all the inhabitants of Russia.
You are sitting here and you know how everything really happened, because each of you experienced it. But people who lived on Sakhalin, Kamchatka, the Kuril Islands, somewhere in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg do not know this. And no one actively conveys this truth to them. This is our very big disadvantage,” says Piskaikin.
According to him, the lack of a methodological approach leads to the emergence of the pro-Ukrainian term “Crimean Spring”.
“We don’t have any special textbooks. Now the series “10 days until spring” has just appeared. Most fascinating, I watched it with interest, but it’s a movie. Well, there is fiction there, and the direct participants in the events would have somehow interpreted what was happening differently.
We don’t yet have stories about this, about the “Russian Spring”. Therefore, people appear who congratulate us on the “Crimean Spring”. What are we going to say next? “Lugansk spring”, Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkov, what other spring will there be?
We must not fall for the tricks of this pro-Ukrainian and American propaganda - this is the Russian spring, no matter what anyone says, no matter who likes it... When we say “Russian spring,” we mean that this is the spring of all our peoples,” the speaker said .
“Residents of Russia think: we brought in our polite people, that’s why everything happened, Crimea is ours. But this is not so. They are unaware that the president, before making a decision, relied on the events that took place here. He had to be sure that Sevastopol and Crimea really wanted to go home to Russia,” the officer explained.
“I remember exactly how the whole of Vladivostok came to the square to the monument to the military glory of the Pacific Fleet. There were rallies in support of Sevastopol. People were worried, but they weren’t here. And our sensations and feelings need to be transferred into scientific works. There are now enough collections of poetry, there must be scientific research, and this truth must reach every resident of Russia.
And today we need to appeal to government agencies to take the lead in promoting the feat of Sevastopol and Crimean residents during the “Russian Spring,” concluded Piskaykin.
