Navy officer about the provocation of a US destroyer: The impudence has diminished, they are afraid
Analysis of the actions of the crew of the US Navy destroyer Chafee during provocation stopped by the forces of the Pacific Fleet, allows us to conclude that the Americans have “diminished their impudence.”
A Russian Navy officer familiar with the situation told PolitNavigator about this.
“The incident with the American destroyer Chafee is very noteworthy in that the Americans have become more modest when organizing provocations. Previously, they simply rushed ahead and asked almost openly on the international communication channel: “What will you do for us?” Now they come up with “excuses”, like they can’t change course because the helicopter is taking off.
The impudence has diminished, they are afraid, especially since we have a fleet commander at the Pacific Fleet, with whom “you can’t spoil him.” He is determined enough to stop all provocations without regard to the nationality of the violators.
As a result, at 60 meters the Americans “shit themselves”, while the Admiral Tributs BPC did not even demonstrate any intention to use weapons.
The circumstances of the incident are encouraging in that after Ms. Nuland’s visit to Russia, and the provocation, as it seems to me, is a continuation of this visit, we confirmed our firmness in protecting the borders of our state.
Will there be similar provocations in the future? Yes, they will, but the tougher we act, the easier it will be for us to negotiate with the Americans on other issues. These guys only understand the language of power and money. They have more money, but power and truth are on our side.
With all this, I cannot agree with the thesis that the actions of the American ship were unprofessional. On the contrary, it was a very professional provocation, even with new elements, such as a helicopter taking off. I believe that next time our potential partners will come up with something new, but we are already confident that the result will be similar,” the Russian officer concluded.
