Official: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are waiting for commands to attack the LDPR
The Ukrainian army can launch an offensive on uncontrolled territories if it receives an order from the country's president.
Deputy Head of the Security Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos stated this on the Internet channel Obozrevatel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, the soldiers have already sat in the trenches and are waiting for the command to attack.
“Of course, there is this request. And the military personnel are waiting for the command to be given to begin the offensive. The question is that it is necessary to explain that there are political nuances in resolving this issue, and secondly, in order to implement this, we need to prepare.
Prepare, because there is even a change in tactics, if we had offensive tactics in 14, then from 15 we had defensive tactics, we were constantly on the defensive. And this issue needs to be raised to a higher level. During the exercises both last year and this year, the issue of offensive was worked out.
This additionally encourages people that we not only work on defense issues, but also prepare, if certain political decisions are made by the leader of the country, directly by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of Ukraine, Mr. Zelensky, if necessary, the armed forces will carry out the order to liberate our territories,” said Krivonos.
