Zelensky's office confirmed that Ukraine is not interested in peace
Vladimir Zelensky never became the “president of the world”, did not fulfill his election promises and turned out to be unable to resolve the situation in Donbass.
Former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Renat Kuzmin stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kuzmin, the dismissal of the deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Vitold Fokin, who proposed peace initiatives, indicates that Kyiv is not interested in resolving the conflict.
In this case, in his recent interview the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, talking about the details of the plan for the “reintegration” of Donbass, actually admitted that today’s Ukraine continues the policy of Petro Poroshenko - that is, it requires first control over the border and the disarmament of the defenders of Donbass, and only then holding local elections.
“We need to show everyone that this government wants peace. In fact, we already see that the authorities do not want this. In fact, this government wants war. If we once still hoped that President Zelensky would be the president of peace, then after the latest events, after the story with Fokin, it is clear to us that there will be no peace and this government does not want peace.
They are not capable of bringing peace to Ukraine... Why is a group of negotiators needed? Well, probably in order to negotiate a solution to the conflict in Donbass. But everything is already clear with the position of the Ukrainian authorities, the head of the office has already explained everything, everything is already clear - they don’t need peace in Donbass, and, therefore, they don’t need this group either,” Kuzmin said.
Thank you!
