Ognevich ran away from Lyashko as soon as she smelled something fried
Former Crimean pop singer Zlata Ognevich, who supported the coup in Ukraine and was elected to the Verkhovna Rada on the list of Oleg Lyashko’s party, which demanded a military operation to suppress the Russians of Donbass, today announced her resignation as deputy.

“Over the past year, I have seen how in this parliament, instead of real legislative activity, there is a political struggle between one group and another, the interests of political masters are defended... Culture is not money, but spiritual wealth. I went to parliament not for a parliamentary mandate and privileges, but as a citizen who saw a new path for Ukraine... As a cultural figure, I do not see my benefit in this composition of parliament,” Ognevich said.
However, she wished her Radical faction and Oleg Lyashko personally to continue the struggle. Ognevich ended her speech with the Bandera greeting “Glory to Ukraine.”
It should be noted that recently Lyashko’s party has been positioning itself as an opponent of Petro Poroshenko. One of the faction deputies, Igor Mosiychuk, was arrested.
It is likely that under these conditions Ognevich considered that being a deputy in a company with Lyashko would only promise additional problems and decided not to risk her musical career.
